Rev. Kisheen Wayne Tulloss is a life-long resident of Los Angles, California. The first of four children, he was raised in South Central Los Angeles. He is a product of local public schools and colleges in the area where he studied general studies, theology/business. H e acknowledge his call to the gospel ministry in 1997, was licensed the same year. Tulloss was ordained into the ministry in 2001. Prior to his previous employment as Outreach Coordinator for Crystal Stairs inc, Rev. Tulloss was program director for Communities in Schools, the largest afterschool program in the world. He served as a Youth Employment Specialist for the state of California EDD. He also worked as the lead employment consultant for the Famous Kennedy family (Best Buddies International programs).

Tulloss’s commitments are many. He is the Pastor of the Historical Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church, located on the borderline of Downtown Los Angeles and Boyle Heights. He is the CEO of Making A Difference Foundation Inc; He’s a noted community activist, he’s a founding member of the Latino/African American leadership Alliance (Lead by Rev. Al Sharpton and Christina Chavez). He serves as spokesman for the Minister’s Coalition for peace, which was organized three weeks before the civil unrest in 1992. Tulloss is the President of Watts Learning Center parent’s organization.

Tulloss is a member of the young democrats of America and California State Democratic Party, Vice President (IT) of the Baptist minister’s conference of Los Angeles and Southern California. He is a mediator with the gang truce in South Central Los Angeles, Los Angeles President of National Action Network and a member of the Watts branch NAACP. Rev. Tulloss has led the fight for school reform in Los Angeles. Successfully fighting to secure Alain Leroy Locke High School’s separation from LAUSD.

In 1995, Tulloss begin teaching job and life skills at many high schools and colleges through out California, Locke, Fremont, Jefferson, Jordan, Westchester, Crenshaw, Dorsey and Carson High just to name a few. Tulloss also lectured at UCLA and USC in Los Angeles, California.

As a goodwill ambassador, Rev. Tulloss was chosen by his peers to lead a delegation of state youth employees to Sacramento in response to laws that was going to affect and ultimately impair youth in California. He has been a community activist since the age of 12, leading marches for peace, against drugs, education reform, gang violence and for unity throughout this country.

Rev. Tulloss has received numerous awards and honors for his various civic and church activities. In 1996 K-NBC honored him as a youth that makes a difference. In 2003 he was nominated for the best community leader award by Steve Harvey Hoodie awards for his tireless efforts to bring peace and change to his community. He is a frequent guest on various T.V and Radio talk shows throughout this world. In 1996, Rev. Tulloss was the special guest of then Vice President Al Gore as he brought awareness to the drug problems affecting South Central Los Angeles. Rev. Tulloss was also the special guest of ABC nightline news telecast with Ted Coppell and the head of the CIA. Assemblyman Carl Washington, Mervin Dymally, Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, Councilman Bernard Parks, State Senator Gil Cedio, Councilman Huirzar, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaragos have honored him for his tireless efforts to make a difference in Los Angeles.

In November of 2007, Rev. K.W. Tulloss was called to pastor the Historical Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church. This church has been a pillar in its community for over 60 years. Weller Street MBC is one of the most respected churches in Los Angeles. He plans on expanding the ministry to meet the needs of the community and nation.

Today, Rev. K.W. Tulloss is still very active within his South Los Angeles Community. In 2007 he prayed for the lord to expand his territory. God heard his prayer by opening a very special door in Boyle Heights and Downtown Los Angeles. Rev. K.W. Tulloss is dedicated to the development of his community, children and adults.
